Expert Artificial Intelligence Algorithms for Embedded Applications (f/m/div)*

The automotive industry is undergoing the most profound transformation in its history. New drive technologies and artificial intelligence are enabling previously unimagined improvements in areas such as vehicle dynamics, driver assistance and autonomy. As Expert AI Algorithms for Embedded Applications, you will be at the center of this revolution and contribute to the development of new methods & solutions for our embedded AI devices in the Dresden development center, combining classic automotive requirements such as real-time, safety & security with artificial intelligence.
In your new role, you will:
  • Be part of selection and/or definition of efficient AI algorithms that fulfil their application purpose, real-time needs, safety constraints & limited calculation power on AI on the edge devices
  • Develop prototypes including new artificial intelligence methods based on new hardware accelerators to enhance applications in the area of vehicle dynamics, eMobility, ADAS, autonomous driving or similar areas
  • Conduct application-specific performance studies related to execution time, power consumption, real-time behavior and other relevant aspects for the hardware accelerators
  • Contribute to the development of new artificial intelligence methods based on new hardware accelerators to improve applications in vehicle dynamics, eMobility, ADAS, autonomous driving, or similar fields
  • Support project documentation & reporting from technical side

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience or a PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Information Technology or Electrical Engineering
  • Good knowledge in machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, Embedded AI, AI on the edge or equivalent areas
  • Good knowledge in tools & programming languages like TensorFlow, KERAS, Matlab, Python, Embedded C/C++
  • Knowledge of hardware architecture like Arm, MIPS or TriCore as well as in heterogeneous computing, digital signal processing & parallel computing will be an advantage
